Die Herehuis is a fascinating Victorian Style mansion that was built in the late 1800’s by Sir Keiser from England. The luxurious guesthouse is situated just shy of the N1, in the quiet midtown of the beautiful town of Beaufort West. A place where you can truly experience the luxury of old-world charm along with peace and tranquillity. Die Herehuis Guesthouse has a romantic feel and unique sense of style in the heart of the Great Karoo, posed against the backdrop of the Nieuwveld Mountains.
Our inspiration for this unique guesthouse came from humble beginnings. The idea originated from 6 old horse stables on the premises that were converted into 6 luxurious units, some of the units even had mini-kitchenettes. We are now proud to have a total of 17 deluxe units each with their own private entrance for ultimate privacy.
All units have their own entrance for the ultimate privacy, equipped with cotton linen, anti-allergic duvets and a bar fridge. Other amenities include DSTV, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, insect repellents, and hair dryers. As complimentary gifts to our guests, we provide tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk. Smoking is permitted on all private verandas.

Die Herehuis Guesthouse has a swimming pool and luscious gardens for kids to play outside. Our dining room is known for the best Karoo style breakfast and dishes. Please make your booking a pre-arrival. To top it off, our dining room has a transparent roof, making it ideal to experience all the beauty that nature has to offer.
Additionally, we have a covered braai area equipped with a kitchen making this ideal for group bookings. The famous tender, juicy, and richly infused Karoo Lamb “Braai Packs” can also be pre-arranged.
